ANALYSIS The Mayor and City Manager are responsible for developing the City Council Meeting Schedule. To support more efficient long-range planning of agenda items, the Administration recommends continuing the established practice of approving a full fiscal year meeting schedule, as well as canceling City Council meetings that fall on a Monday holiday or occur during designated holiday or City Council recess periods. The proposed schedule includes the cancellation of 11 meetings on the following dates: August 4, September 8, October 13, November 24, December 22, December 29, January 5, January 19, February 16, June 1, and June 29. Additionally, staff will present a tentative schedule of Study Session and Special Meeting dates for August 2026 through June 2027 to the Rules and Open Government Committee in June for consideration and approval.
